Gaming supervisors monitor gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they ensure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating rules for bettors. Supervisors may also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and top notch communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff properly and to greet clients in order to boost return visits. Most casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree. Despite their educational background, however, almost all supervisors gain expertise in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory desks because knowledge of games and casino operations is essential for these staff.
